Ottawa, Canada - November 05, 2001 – SK8 Wireless Technologies Inc., an innovative company specializing in business to consumer wireless internet solutions, announced today the introduction of preferred rankings within the internet and wireless internet taxi listings of their popular sites TakeaTaxi.ca and TakeaTaxiUSA.com.

For a small fee, taxi service providers are given the opportunity to occupy a Gold, Silver or Bronze Ranking within ahead of the general alphabetic taxi listings.  This offers a greater likelihood that customers will choose these top-ranked taxi services.  TakeaTaxi.ca is a bilingual wireless website offering users a listing of taxi services for all cities in Canada, while TakeaTaxiUSA.com offers US taxi listings.  The sites are accessible through all internet-enabled cell phones, wireless palm pilots, as well as the conventional World Wide Web.  Useful information for organizing a way home after a night out, the taxi listings are sorted by city and province, and have a one-touch dialing feature.  The TakeaTaxi.ca wireless site is also available directly through the mobile browsers offered on phones from Bell Mobility, Telus Mobility, Aliant, and Sasktel in Canada.

"Our services allow businesses to offer customers up-to-date information at their fingertips. More and more customers are expecting and demanding this ‘anywhere’ service and are embracing mobile devices to achieve this flexibility and convenience," says Bill Wilson, Director of Operations, SK8 Wireless Technologies.

According to the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA), over 8 million Canadians now use wireless products and services. During 1998 alone, wireless telephony grew by nearly 30% adding over 1 million customers. Today over 41% of Canadian households have access to a mobile phone. The CWTA estimates the wireless industry is a $5 billion industry in Canada.
